About us

With beginnings in horticulture and gardening we started making gardens in 2015 because we believe in their potential to improve people’s lives. The gardens we create are beautiful environments that immerse you in the rhythms of nature and restore a sense of calm.

From small urban courtyards to rural estates, our work delivers projects from concept to completion and beyond, spanning garden design, landscape gardening, and garden maintenance. Use our contact form to tell us about your project.

Our clients

Our holistic approach explores the connections between you, your garden, and your environment. We embed a sense of belonging into your garden’s design by forging these connections, making it a more meaningful and resonant place for you.

At the heart of this approach is the relationship we nurture with you and the space. We listen to your needs but balance them with a sensitivity toward the qualities of your home, leading its transformation in a spirit of creativity and collaboration.

Materials are chosen to reflect your garden’s relationship with its context. We combine plants in ways that are inspired by nature, reducing maintenance, and increasing biodiversity to create gardens that are teeming with life.

Our team

We are a tight knit team of designers and craftspeople who are driven by the contribution we make to people’s lives and the places they share. Being a small company makes our work more bespoke, more attentive, and more responsive.

Our Community

We want to help as many people discover a personal connection to the natural world with us as possible. By highlighting the symbiotic relationship that exists between us and our environment, we aim to help our community experience the restorative power of nature and the happiness we feel from living more in tune with it.

Right now, we do this through our blog and magazine, Planting the Seed, sharing what inspires us and shapes our work. We include useful guides, tips, news and insights, and showcase exciting work from other creatives who share our approach.

Our work to date has included a not-for-profit initiative named The Indoor Gardening Club which showed people how they could garden without access to an outside space, and the creation of a productive garden in a local secondary school for students with diverse educational needs.

We are always looking for opportunities to support and inspire our community through pro bono work and charitable donations and encourage anyone with an idea to get in touch.

Our Environment

The UK’s gardens are larger than all our national nature reserves combined and with over half of the country’s wild species declining in the past fifty years, offer a tremendous opportunity to conserve life under threat.

By increasing biodiversity, we believe our work has the potential to protect and improve our environment, but we also know it has an unavoidable footprint. We recognise our negative environmental impact as a cost of running our company and donate a self-imposed earth tax of 1% of our annual sales to The World Land Trust as an offsetting measure.

As makers, now more than ever, we believe it is critical to demonstrate a deep respect for our often-finite resources which is why we design and create with timelessness at the forefront of our efforts. Combining this with efforts to reduce waste, recycle and responsibly source materials, we are demonstrating our commitment to the long-term wellbeing of our clients, our community, our team, and our environment.
